The Alefbet Preschool Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) coordinates volunteer efforts for school activities and raises funds to support programs that further enrich the experience of all students. Parent volunteers help with all types of school programs, class events and parties, field trips and learning activities.
The PTO is an integral part of the Preschool. In the past, the PTO has supported:
Chanukah luncheon and the silent auction
Purim celebration and VIP Day
Preschool Shabbat Dinner and three star Havdallah event
Addition of books to our library from purchases made during the Scholastic Book Fair
Preschool playground maintenance and enhancements
Teacher Appreciation Week and Teacher Appreciation Breakfast
Field Trips for the 3’s and 4’s classes …and more!
Our mission is to align resources with the vision and direction of the school to enrich the learning environment. The PTO holds monthly meetings to discuss and implement the ideas of the parents and teaching staff. Parents are encouraged to attend our meetings and/or share their ideas and talents in other ways.
The PTO will strive to:
- Work together as a team with our teachers, administration, and parents for the best interest of our children and our school.
- Encourage parents and teachers to build great relationships with each other, with our children, and with our administrators to ensure a better environment for our families and community as a whole.
- Help maintain a safe, secure and exciting atmosphere which is conducive to learning and growing.
- Be an active support system for our school and its entire staff in every area; giving of our time and efforts when needed.
